New Jersey Property-Liability Insurance Guaranty Association
New Jersey has long recognized the importance of protecting policyholders and claimants
in the property-casualty and workers’ compensation insurance marketplace.
The New Jersey Property-Liability Insurance Guaranty Association (“Association”) provides
a safety net designed to mitigate the effects of loss on claimants and policyholders who, through
no fault of their own, find themselves without coverage.
This safety net includes three separate entities that administer the claims of insolvent insurance carriers. These are:
New Jersey Property-Liability Insurance Guaranty Association (“Association”)
New Jersey Surplus Lines Insurance Guaranty Fund (“Fund”)
Workers' Compensation Security Fund (“WCSF”)
A fourth entity, the Unsatisfied Claim and Judgment Fund (“UCJF”) administers claims associated with uninsured
motorists and uninsured pedestrians.
